Hello. I have a 2003 XL1200. I've been fixing defects. Got it running right and eliminated a lot of defects. One that's persistent is my odometer trip button on the back of the speedometer. This one has digital miles but analog speed. The button cover was all caked and sticky so I bought a new button and cover. Pressing the button did nothing. Cut the old one out, soldered the new one in, heat shrink covered the splices and still no change. Used my ohm meter to confirm it wasn't the button. Guess I'm going to do some wire tracing. Anyone experience this issue or have a suggestion? Thanks
