Upgrading pipes and intake is a Dyno tune really necessary

I'm planning to upgrade my pipes and buy a new air purifier. I've heard mixed opinions on this. Some people think it's no big deal, while others suggest I should do a dyno test after making the changes. What are your thoughts on this?

Slapping on new pipes and an intake can throw off your air/fuel mix and while some bikes adjust automatically, others need a dyno tune to keep things running smooth. If you want peak performance and avoid running too lean, a tune is worth it.

A lot of guys just throw on pipes and a new air cleaner and call it a day, and for the most part, their bikes run fine, especially if it's a newer EFI model. The bike's computer can usually compensate a good bit. That said, the other guys here aren't wrong. If you want to get the most out of your setup and make sure you aren't running lean and risking damage, a dyno tune is the way to go. You'll get better throttle response and more power. It's not strictly necessary for it to run, but it's the right way to do it if you want the best results and peace of mind.
