I really can't stand chrome, so I'm totally committed to getting rid of it on my scooter. Do you have any advice on painting or other mods?

You can sand, prime, and paint the chrome with a high-quality spray paint designed for metal surfaces and for a matte or blacked-out look, I think you should consider using a powder coating service too

Great choice on getting rid of the chrome, a sleek blacked-out look always stands out more. If you're doing it yourself, I'd recommend sanding, priming, and then applying a good metal paint. But if you're after something more durable and professional-looking, powder coating is definitely worth the investment. What finish are you going for, matte, gloss, or satin?
